Figure fondatrice de l’art conceptuel et féministe, Eleanor Antin a très tôt exploré, avec humour et lucidité politique, les questions d’identité, de genre, de pouvoir et de représentation. À travers des alter ego fictifs, des récits performatifs et des dispositifs immersifs, son travail mêle l’intime et l’historique, invitant le public à apprendre par l’expérience et le ressenti. Cette rétrospective met en lumière une pratique profondément expérimentale, démocratique et toujours d’une actualité saisissante.
