À l’occasion de Paris Photo 2025, la journaliste, critique d’art et curatrice Marie Maertens s’est entretenue avec l’historienne de l’art et philanthrope Estrellita B. Brodsky autour de l’exposition « The Last Photo », une sélection d’œuvres issues de sa collection présentée pour la première fois en Europe.
Réunissant une soixantaine de photographies, vidéos, collages, photocopies Xerox, sérigraphies et autres expérimentations sans appareil, The Last Photo interroge la mutation du médium photographique et la manière dont les images dépassent désormais leur rôle de simple représentation et de documentation.

On the occasion of Paris Photo 2025, journalist, art critic, and curator Marie Maertens met with art historian and philanthropist Estrellita B. Brodsky to discuss the exhibition “The Last Photo”, a selection of works from her collection presented for the first time in Europe.
Bringing together around sixty photographs, videos, collages, Xeroxes, screen prints, and other camera-less practices, The Last Photo considers the ever-shifting nature of photography, beyond its traditionally assumed role as a vehicle for documentation and representation.
The works presented in The Last Photo invite viewers to consider not only how images are captured and preserved, but also how they shape the ways we remember, forget, and interpret the world around us.
